Who Tiao? Youtiao!

Oh yeah. Don’t you just want to sink your teeth into some solidly oily strips of oily dough deep fried in oily oil?

Here we see some delightful youtiao. The breakfast bread stick commonly served with congee. The name means oil strip because of the greasy stains they leave in the toilet bowl.

    That was awesome when it split into two sticks. Its as thought it was the beginning of sentient life. I can buy these at my local fairway, which i do when i make congee, but i belive on the mainland it may be referred to as jook.
