Old Guy Music
Posted by: ABaum
Well hello folks,
As promised it was a very special year. And it’s come full circle as we end the year’s Vacation Mystery Hour with the final segment. Who knows what will come in the future. In 2 days it seems I’ll be disappearing into the wilds of Northern Myanmar to socialize with exotic animal poachers and smugglers. Not my ideal choice of company but my travelling companion will more than make up for that. It appears to be an expensive trip as it stands. We’ll see how the old pochette livre holds up.
Here we have a reminisce of about 10 months ago combined with a few new tidbits. My time in Shangrila is interspersed with memories of my youth and present. I hope you enjoy.
Featuring:
Socialized children
A peeping tom’s ears: music from an old person’s workshop
Chinese Furniture Review 1
Guangchang Dance Indecision
Travelbuzzkill ABaum Ruins the Day Again
Comedy Break
A Trip to the Spa
Quincey Enok – Ugly World
A Quiet Ending
See you all next season.
Confusing Times

Our dear hero, me, is suffering from age-related issues. Mostly remembering where I am in the VMH Podcast world but that’s never really mattered much anyway. What we have here is a pleasant selection of bits and bobs for you to peruse. We hear of ancient battles, and get a bit more of a glimpse in the the crazy past/future world of the present as it was. Come. Enjoy.
Special prizes this week go out to those of you who can tell me what special recording method I used on the song. You’ll know the one. If you don’t, you lose automatically. If you do, maybe you’ll get the prize.
Featuring:
Pheromoans – Kevin Costner’s Best
Peter Jefferies – Chain or Reaction
Wooden Wand – The Forgiveness Factory
And a very special sudden ending…
…
More to come.
Heavy Weights

Good evening, everyone.
I trust you’re doing well. Here we have the latest in a saga of radio plays. Remember, listener submissions are always welcome.
This riveting tale of romance and bodybuilding brings us into the heart of the soulless box that is the gym, a place to vacate and submit to endless routine.
As we all know, lifting weights for no man, so let’s join our hero…
The Vacation Begins

Good evening. I hope you’re all well and good. In this episode, we seem to skip an episode. Why is that? Did I overlook? I haven’t a clue but I’m sure I’ll get to the bottom of it one day. Perhaps what was missed will be found again or perhaps it was just missed. At any rate, here we find Episode 3 of Season 6 of ABaum’s Vinyl Mystery Hour. It’s the Vacation series. In this series, I planned to do a little time travel. It is relatively successful and I hope you enjoy. I’m off for the weekend to a far off locale. I hope that you make time in your busy day for such lovely things as a calming glimpse in to the world of vacation.
In this very special episode we can hear:
Quincey’s Queer – Sunshine Today
Sandwich – Assisted Living
B-Lines – Social Retard
All this paired with harrowing tales of diving, skullduggery and a sentimental promotion of wedded bliss between two beautiful people.
Enjoy!
The Radio Play

This is my first radio play. It was written by a fan of the show who wishes to remain anonymous. It’s not one of the members of anonymous, though. I like radio plays. I always have. I particularly enjoy Wiretap and Getting On more recently. Sometimes I think I copy Urbaniak a little. But then I listen to shows I did before I listened to him and don’t think that’s the case. Perhaps he’ll just encourage me to leave in those pauses that I often delete.
Enjoy this.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It has been a while and here is almost 2/3rds of a VMH for your enjoyment. I hope you like it. In this episode we have a couple firsts. Enjoy the tantalizing tales of food! Salivate over the interview where ABaum definitely has fewer morals than his unshakable interviewee! Then do some other pretty normal stuff.
In this very special episode we can hear:
One Hundred Dollars – My Father’s House
Myelin Sheaths – Do the Mental Twist
R. Stevie Moore – Dirty Woman
also,
Ding Ji – Some Chinese song
ABaum – *It’s a surprise (not you Quincey)*
The Monarch’s Sand

Promises of work while on vacation are only partially pithy. The wilds of the Philippines inspire but leave little time for action. America sucks dreams from reality with gigantic burgers…in essence, I didn’t get many Vacation Mystery Hours finished…in fact…this one is a VM15mins but there’s more where that came from, friends. Much, much, more.
